Facebook Reels roll out globally with new tools
Last week Facebook launch Reels in more than 150 countries for content creators around the world to grow their communities.
The Reels will be displayed at the top of user feeds.
As Facebook says “Reels help creators earn money from Facebook Reels, we’re expanding tests of overlay ads, starting with banner and sticker ads.”
Facebook competing against its main competitor TikTok
By capitalizing on the popularity of short-form video content.
As Facebook said “Watching video is half of time spent on Facebook and Instagram, and Reels is our fastest growing content format by far. We’re focused on making Reels the best way for creators to get discovered, connect with their audience and earn money. We also want to make it fun and easy for people to find and share relevant and entertaining content.”
Facebook’s also adding new creative tools and features including Remix, sharing to Facebook Stories, and more. to encourage creators to take up their opportunity to earn money for their reels.
