A listing for the app called “Threads” has popped up in the iOS App Store with an estimated release date of July 6th
It will be linked to Instagram.
Meta describes “Threads” as “Instagram’s text-based conversation app.” Based on the screenshots posted in the listing, users can keep their Instagram handle and follow the same accounts they follow on the photo-sharing platform.
That means users will have a pre-existing following and circles on the new app, giving it an edge over other Twitter rivals.
Also, the waiting list that Meta made for their app gives more teasing to their audience.
